I offer an experience that brings you peace in the middle of the wedding planning whirlwind and a calm presence on the biggest day of your life. Through exceptional direction and an attentive attitude, I want to help you feel confident, cared for, and free to be completely yourself in front of the camera.
And then, when the camera stops clicking, I want to be the helpful resource you count on to help you create the perfect order for family formals! This is the experience I am dedicated to delivering as your wedding photographer. And above all, I hope to help you have an absolute blast on the best day of your life!

Even if you're working with a wedding planner or you're planning a simple wedding, there are likely still a lot of moving pieces left leading up to your big day. I've photographed more than 100 weddings in the years and I'm happy to share everything I've learned along the way!

I'm a big fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. I've found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. I normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, spring flowers for example, or based on schedules.

I check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day.
While I normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions during the planning process!

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about three months of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs! I want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, I'd love to document your growing family.

The best engagement session locations are often meaningful to our individual couples; however, we’re also happy to make recommendations. From ski slopes to lavender fields to apple picking and college campuses, the options for session locations are endless!

Sessions also allow you to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include pets!) While they’re great for save-the-dates, I've taken engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a few days before the wedding.

I'm a big believer that images aren’t meant to solely exist in a digital space. One day, most likely, Instagram will be gone, your phone will be replaced and images that you can physically hold in your hand will be the best way to remember those precious moments we captured.
Think about this fact: in 2010 when I photographed my first wedding, the digital images were delivered on a CD. With the fast updates to technology, you would have no way to access those images today. Even the online galleries I deliver will eventually fade away.
One of the best ways to make your memories last is by ordering an album. These high quality professionally designed albums come in a variety of linen & leather colors. These aren’t the same albums your parents' wedding photos came in. They’re modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on a coffee table.

After I deliver your gallery, I'll work with you to order prints and design an album that will become an heirloom for your family.
Albums must be prepaid before design begins and typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete (including revisions).
With the exception of printing errors, all albums are non-returnable. Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day. Save 20% on when you upgrade all the way up to your big day! The holiday deadline for completing an order is November 1st.

Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I’ll need a completed contract and a $1500 non-refundable deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and we’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before the wedding.
We love your work and want to book. What's the next step?
Galleries typically include anywhere between 400 and 800 photos. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share your wedding photos on social media as long as you credit us and link to our website.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?

I typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of a 100 mile radius from my home in Dansville, Michigan. Fees vary depending on location so ask me for more details.
When do you charge travel fees?

Within a three months of your wedding, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
